Sam’s of Brighton

Sam’s is a quality neighbourhood bistro-style restaurant in the heart of the gorgeous Kemp Town ‘village’ in Brighton. The dishes served are a mixture of the classic and the creative, with a focus on seasonal ingredients. The lucky ‘chef’ (and compadre of their choice) who wins the Open House Dining challenge will be spending a morning in Sam’s kitchen, learning at the hands of a master and working a busy lunchtime service, before relaxing over a glass of bubbly and a delicious lunch themselves

Sussex Food & Drink Awards

The Sussex Food & Drink Awards will give the Open House Dining winner two tickets to attend the ‘Sussex foodie event of the year’ – the five-course awards dinner and ceremony, held at the East Sussex National Golf Resort & Spa in January 2010. The awards are all about rewarding the best Sussex producers and the outlets which sell and promote their wares, with the goal of encouraging people to buy and eat local food and drink. You can vote for your favourite farmers, producers, farm shops, farmers markets, butchers, restaurants and food pubs until 16th October – so get voting!
