So lets face it, it’s been more than a little unsettling over the past couple of weeks what with new governments being elected and plans for lots of change. Many have a feeling of uncertainty and although most of us are struggling along, heads down, trying to earn a crust; it’s hard to be everything to everybody all of the time. And then there are those that feel that the ‘blinkered, just get on with it’ approach works best – maybe it’s all about self preservation for them? We think otherwise though…

Here in the Pretty Clever fold we are continuing to be positive and think that if we work hard and invest in what we believe in, the light at the end of the tunnel will get ever closer.  Its times like this that companies should re-evaluate and look at their roots – tell me, when was the last time you did a SWOT analysis of your business, department or product? (You would be surprised how many people I’ve spoken to that either feel they don’t need to do one or haven’t done one since their original business plan!)  Do you know who you are targeting and how you compare to your competitors? Are you evolving or treading water? Are you well read and do you keep up with your industry news or are you a step behind everyone else?
