Oh now this just makes me super happy. I mean I’m a already a massive fan of the colour green but to see that it’s the chosen ‘Pantone of the Year’ is oh so very apt for us here at the moment. You see the colour ‘green’ is apparently symbolic of new beginnings which ties in very nicely to what’s been going on here with Pretty Clever. An elegant rebrand and a beautiful new website on top of which there are some really exciting new projects on the horizon…

But back to green – oh are we going to have so much fun with this colour! It’s so versatile and makes me feel rejuvenated and all spring like – such a refreshing thought on these grey winter days. This is where my mind wonders posing the question of how we can inject this colour into our events?

The events world has shifted considerably over the past year or two. People are either wanting to be out doors (hence the rise in festival fever) or they want to bring the out doors in. How? By incorporating inside topiary seating areas and bringing greenery and foliage in as a strong interior fashion statement. Giant palm leaves can highlight place settings, moss is finding its interesting squdigy succulent self into stylish table dressings, strong green accents adjourn soft furnishings and green textures and differing shades are being incorporated into cocktails and culinary extravaganzas.

Lets face it – the colour green is all around us and filters into architectural designs, culinary wonders, fashion and beauty all the time…..and now even into events.
