It’s been an incredible month at Pretty Clever for corporate events – September/October often is, with seasonal conferences upon us and a number of awards nights, through the month we’re working on many events including a 20s prohibition themed awards night, big top party with circus acts, hollywood awards night, 70s themed event, a couple of launches with an art deco theme… there’s no doubt that the corporate events market has made a resounding recovery and the art is back in party.
We love the fun of themed events such as these, but there’s a serious side to Pretty Clever Events. we also offer a serious PCO (professional conference organiser) strategy, and last week were able to really explore that, working with Interreg, an EU community initiative based in Lille promoting cross-border projects and collaboration.
With French, Belgian, Dutch and UK delegates arriving for a two day period we worked to create the event as Interreg’s ground agent and conference organiser, liaising with the venue, facilitating all set build and very exacting AV requirements; including the supply of interpreters and all their equipment. We created a networking and exhibition space within the venue, supplying display units and lighting, acted as accommodation bureau for all delegates, and fully staffed the event with registration and support staff for the full conference.
We thoroughly enjoy the buzz of a job like this, learning to understand the diversity in the way different nationalities communicate, creating exciting conference spaces in different rooms and rising to the challenge of running a multi-national event and ensuring everyone’s needs are met. And after a whirlwind few days, the best accolade for us is the pleased smiles on the faces of the client company.
We believe the UK, particularly the south east, is an exciting and accessible destination for European conferences and events and it’s something we have been working to promote, so it’s really satisfying to see that come to fruition last week. We’ve got more in the planning stages, so if you want to know more about Pretty Clever PCO services, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
