I’ll keep this short and sweet but its worth sharing so I’m going to blog just how upbeat I am feeling right now! Being a business owner can be a tough job sometimes, it’s not all the bed of roses many make it out to be and if you’re of a personality that doesn’t like working weekends, evenings and putting in some early mornings from time to time then maybe it’s just not for you.
The past couple of years have been tough for many, us included. There have been good months, don’t get me wrong, but to be fair it has been the not good months that have felt suffocating at times and over whelming. I’d be lying if I said that there weren’t mornings I wished that I could just go and work for someone else – but that’s the easy option and I like a challenge so we stuck with it!
Now, it looks like the tide is turning, business is on the up and Pretty Clever is ringing that ‘confirmed’ bell more and more frequently. In the past 2 weeks alone we have been lucky enough to secure 7 pieces of new business which has certainly made me and my business partner, Sam Harrington-Lowe, feel much more positive about the future of the economy and our own business. Now we’re not ones to get cocky and realise that this doesn’t mean we can take our foot of the gas but – hey – it feels good and right now I’m smiling a big Sammy Nashers smile.
