We’ve been banging this drum for a while now, highlighting the amazing deals we’re securing on behalf of our conference and event clients – it’s an unavoidable fact that with recession comes price cuts, and the conference industry is no different.
Today’s Meetpie news bears this out, with an article reporting that between January and July of 2011, 75% of hotels were discounting published rates, with an average reduction of 25% being offered, but that all venues have been under pressure to deliver competitive delegate rates and even greater reductions are not unusual. This shows no sign of changing any time soon either. The findings come from Event Wall, who surveyed 500 venue proposals over the six month period. The results are interesting – it really is a buyer’s market at the moment, and a great time to book conferences for Spring and even late Autumn
If you have a conference or event why not take advantage of these delegate rates to book now and save a bundle. Fill in our FREE venue finding form to kick off with and let us do the hard work finding you the right venue, and haggling a great price!
