The outdoor theme for 2012 seems to be sports related and we have been doing a fair few events – All in the name of sport. The biggest challenge this June has been the weather, lets face it, who ever would have thought we would be experiencing record rainfall, gail force winds and sea mists – you couldn’t have dreamt this!
Will it be the Gunnells Gunners or Redgraved Raiders??
In true British sporting style though the companies we have been working with have not been perturbed and, donning their trainers, water proofs and enormous smiles have embraced the wet weather team building experience and all had enormous fun.
The latest outdoor event was an Olympic themed It’s a Knock event which we hosted up at Brighton Race Course. The usual sea views were no where in sight due to poor weather conditions, and boy did the rain come down but our clients belly laughed their way through the afternoon and demonstrated trooper team spirit. This morning in my inbox I received the following feedback which makes an afternoon in the driving rain all worth while…
Just an official thank you for hosting our event on Friday. I think it’s safe to say that just about every one who took part really enjoyed it, some way more than they through they would. The rain certainly made its presence felt but I think it just made us all get on with it.
I’ll certainly be passing your details on in case any other department groups are thinking of doing similar. Thanks once again for a great day and can’t wait to see the pictures.
