I’ve done it. Finally, I’m on Twitter. I don’t know how to use it or what a hashtag really is but at least now I can stay informed with local events. In between helping clients with a bumper reservations enquiry – and think big, I’m talking 120 bedrooms, five-star – I’ve been looking for upcoming events in Brighton.
The Brighton Fringe – part of the overall Brighton Festival – entertains all audiences with a diverse range of art forms: painting, sculpture, comedy, theatre, dance… Think creative and it will be there! The four-week celebration (3 May to 1 June 2014) includes the summer half term holiday so the whole family can take part. The Fringe was primarily inspired by home grown talent; half of last year’s participants were Brighton and Hove based. Unlike the Brighton Festival, this is a completely open access event which means anyone can put on a show and be included in the programme. No artistic judgement or selection criteria are imposed on participants, enabling the development of both new and established work to attract fresh audiences, press and promoters.
If you’re an aspiring artist and think your work is distinctive enough to be included, or you just want to sample some new talent, then the Fringe is perfect for you! Our Pretty Clever office is conveniently located in Hove and we pride ourselves on finding ideal venues and team building activities in the area.
