Aaaand the party enquiries keep on coming! This week we’ve been looking for a venue to accommodate 300+ guests for a sit down dinner. Not as easy as you might think! Among the venues that kindly offered to help was the spectacular Windsor Race Course with their impressive Riverside Marquee, and a favourite of mine, The Radisson Blu Edwardian at Heathrow. This was where I attended my first event and enjoyed a well-acted and highly engrossing Murder Mystery – one of our most popular team activities.
Closer to the city centre are some unmissable diary entries. The new Shangri-La spaces at The Shard have availability on Level 34, with stunning views and state-of-the-art conferencing technology. The largest of the venues, Ren, accommodates up to 140 guests; the other two, Yi and Li, can hold up to 10 and 35 guests, respectively. With views of St. Paul’s Cathedral and beyond, this is a picture-perfect location for your next event.
HMS Belfast
From 24-25 May, HMS Belfast marks the 70 years since D-Day with a range of special events and exhibitions. A vessel of great historic importance, HMS Belfast played a significant supporting role seven decades ago when she assisted with the Normandy landings. It has even been said that it was troops on the ship that fired some of the first shots on D-Day. An event aboard a real ship would see your guests both entertained and educated!
