This day next month will be… All right, I won’t say it. But it’s officially time to start your Christmas shopping and writing those endless cards.

As we’re feeling festive, we’ve made our predictions for the top six themes for Christmas and New Year’s Eve parties, based on bookings we’ve taken this year and in the past.

Gatsby’s Mansion makes a stunning entrance at Number Six. Travel back in time to when the Prohibition Act made the manufacture and sale of alcohol a crime, and a cocktail in a teacup was the number one order in the speakeasy. This is the perfect excuse for ladies to don elegant pearl necklaces and flapper dresses and for men to dust off their tommy guns, strap on their suspenders and prepare for a night of illegal drinking! Explore the mansion to scintillating electro tunes guaranteed to keep you beating on until dawn, like boats against the current.

At Number Five we’re heading Back To The Future. Aptly created this year, this theme is a must for sci-fi fanatics. Snap a photo with loveable Marty and his pal Doc Brown in a fabulously futuristic venue of light and sound. Dinner tables double up as time machines, powered by plutonium stolen from the Libyan rebels. Just be careful not to activate them and find yourself marooned in 2015 (a fate worse than death.)

Hollywood inspired awards night

Number Four is Hollywood. On Friday we threw an awards night with a touch of Hollywood glamour – fit for any A-lister. From a paparazzi-infested red carpet entrance to a secluded LED lit chill out area, this client had it all. The black and white acrylic dance floor really enhanced the theme, along with a jazzy cocktail bar. If you want to liven things up even more, a dash of James Bond compliments this theme beautifully. Following the release of Spectre, the 007 theme is in higher demand than ever before. Book a range of acts from sultry dancing Bond girls to Britain’s Got Talent winners, Spellbound, with their unique gymnastic act built around the famous theme song Skyfall. Swap your playing cards at the bar for drinks – shaken not stirred!

At Number Three, our Traditional Christmas theme is as warm and welcoming as a hot chocolate on a snowy day. Arrive at your chosen venue and take a trip through an old Victorian market. In the main hall, snuggle up by the roaring fire with a mulled wine, or dance among the snow-tipped Christmas trees. Lots of our clients like to take advantage of the Dickensian fashion with this theme. Or, if you want something a little edgier, why not take to the alps with a pair of skis? After skiing (French: après ski), kick back with a beer and enjoy fun and interactive entertainment from our Oompah band. We’re running an Après Ski event this Friday, so stay tuned for photos!

Number Two takes us into Vince Gilligan’s dark world of Breaking Bad. This unruly new theme will have you on a permanent high. Heisenberg inspired dens will consume innocent souls and feed off bad behaviour, whilst custom ‘cooked’ cocktails will tickle the taste buds – there’ll be no half-measures here! Through a series of high octane, sensory explosions of consumption and intriguing encounters, you’ll gain the ultimate insight into the minds of Walter White, Jessie Pinkman and all your favourite characters.

Winter Wonderland theme

Winter Wonderland is, without a doubt, our most successful theme at this time of year. It’s tried and tested but clients never seem to tire of it! On arrival, our stiltwalking Ice Queen will escort you through an ethereal haze of snow and sparkles to the reception. Tables are elegantly dressed, with striking table centres made from giant martini glasses propped with winter flowers, frosted twigs and glittering pine cones. This theme can’t fail on presentation.

A photo booth adds a finishing touch to any of the above themes. Spaces are still available for New Year’s Eve and throughout January, so get your enquiries in now to avoid disappointment.
