We’re back! The Pretty Clever office has cranked open its gates after a two-week Christmas break, and it’s good to see the daylight again. We all ate too much chocolate, drank too much wine and stayed up way past our bedtimes. Now we’re back to doing what we do best – getting stuck into a stream of new enquiries!
Meanwhile, I’m filling in the all-important events calendar, and there are several dates you locals might want to keep free…
One for every Brightonian’s diary is the release of the i360. Even with the typically unreliable British weather, things are progressing quickly with developments on site almost every week. This unique tourist destination won’t just be an observation tower, but an event venue. Meeting rooms will hold 200 in theatre style and 38 in classroom. And if that isn’t enough, there’s going to be a 400 seater brasserie showcasing Sussex’s finest produce with views of the iconic West Pier. The unveiling will take place in August this year, although the date is yet to be specified.
Tourist favourite, The Brighton Fringe, will be running between 6 May – 5 June. The acts are said to be more diverse than ever before, from gymnastics to theatre workshops to a night parade! Our Brighton clients are renowned for coupling their event or conference with a lazy summer evening finding out what this festival has to offer.
The London to Brighton Bike Ride on 24 September is guaranteed to make a big impact. The route mixes cycle, single track and forest paths to lead you back to Brighton. Sign up online to be part of the UK’s largest charity off-road ride.
