Ever heard of a conference on a boat? Ever knew it was possible? Well, it is. The Yacht in London, like many other boats around the UK, offers superior conference facilities on board. Enjoy a barbeque on the top deck before retreating downstairs to talk business, lulled by the changing, picturesque views out of the cabin windows.
How about a meeting in an old brewery? There’s one of those in London, too! Work at this brewery continued until 1976, bringing an end to a 225-year era. Now the Grade II listed building stands as one of the most unique event spaces in the country, with six stylish conference rooms, most of which are nestled deep underground.

For those really thinking outside the box, there are train carriages, forts, castles and public houses. Trains can be held stationary or rocket into motion, with caterers whizzing back and forth with treats from the trolley. We couldn’t think of anything more lavish than holding a meeting in a castle or a fort (depending on the condition of course; England has some real oldies!) Leeds Castle in Kent has just opened a new meeting room, seating up to 80 delegates in theatre style. Pubs have endless benefits – roaring fires, traditional furnishings, great British grub – many of which are now offering private rooms for conferences.
