The i360 ready to launch
Whether you’re from near or far you’ll have heard of the i360. We’ve been anticipating the grand opening of Brighton’s most eye-catching attraction all year, and now the wait is almost over. In August 2016 the i360 will be open to the public, boasting many flexible conference spaces. These include The Beach Hospitality Rooms, the 1866 Tollbooth, the Boardroom and the Pod. The Hospitality Rooms will cater for 10 – 200 people and open onto a private beachside terrace with space for up to 1,000. And if that isn’t enough, there’s going to be a 400 seater brasserie showcasing Sussex’s finest produce with panoramic views of the West Pier. Bliss!
The Harbour Hotel and Spa is taking the place of the Umi Hotel on the corner of West Street. Nearly all the bedrooms overlook the sea, with rail links and attractions just a stone’s throw away. Comfortable and convenient – two big boxes we like to tick off. It’s also the perfect base for a conference. All meeting spaces offer natural daylight and air-conditioning, with space for up to 500 delegates in theatre style. Perhaps best of all, the Harbour Hotel will offer Brighton’s only rooftop swimming pool. Yes, now you can take a dip in Brighton without freezing to death in the North Atlantic. It’s no wonder this place has been rated five stars!
Powerboating from Brighton Marina
Last year we were sad to say goodbye to the Seattle hotel at Brighton Marina – but we weren’t left frowning for long. Earlier this year the Seattle was taken over by Malmaison, a successful hotel chain with an eye for luxurious detail. Dine in style on the balcony above the harbour or take a trip down to the Marina restaurants. Our powerboating team build also takes off from the Marina – a perfect add-on to a conference or hotel stay. If you’re not daring enough for our high-speed thundercat boats, we also offer yachting experiences, a calmer way to take to the seas. No experience needed; our instructors will teach you everything you need to know in a simple tutorial, then the ocean is yours!
